Fred Brodnax the local blacksmith has completed the installation of a section of new fence from gate 8 on Ashley hill and a new combination lock on gate 10 into the field opposite the cottage.
These complete the phase of security improvements started 5 years ago. All the gates are now secured by locks which are more resistant to vandalism than the old padlocks, and most of the easiest routes over the walls have been blocked.
The Ashley hill boundary is still vulnerable to fly tipping and climbing in places and the boundary wall by the farm is frequently climbed too. Priorities and funding for any further works need to be discussed and if you have any helpful thoughts or observations please pass them on to the committee using the contact link below.
