We still have no volunteer to run the shop on a regular basis.

Instead we are trying to open it as and when we can – any of the committee members have access to a key to the shop, so if they are about and have time, and you have roughly the right money then they could open up and sell you something.

For the future we are looking at buying in Horticultural fleece, [seed potatoes, onion sets – now too late for this year] , peas & beans, to order in a similar way to Keiths compost deliveries.

The shop will be open during all of the events that take place by the committee room. Our intention is to empty the shop of it’s stock until a time presents itself in the future where it may be viable to open it again.

In the meantime Ashley Down Allotment Assoc runs a well stocked shop which is open on a regular basis. The shop is be found adjacent to the Station Road entrance to the site.

Bristol Wood Recycling Project (BWRP) is a local not for profit social enterprise, colecting ‘waste’ wood from all over bristol, working with volunteers to sell cheap re-usable timber down at their yard on Cattle Market Road, round the corner from Temple Meads station. They sell a vast selection of all sorts of timber from pallets to lengths of joists, but perfect for allotment holders are scaffolding planks- up to 13’ long.
